How gun-toting US Postal Service inspectors helped arrest Steve Bannon

REVEALED: How gun-toting US Postal Service inspectors helped arrest Steve Bannon on a yacht before he was indicted for stealing $1M in border wall fundraising 'scam'

Steve Bannon was arrested Thursday after a Coast Guard vessel stopped him on a yacht off the coast of Connecticut

The first officers to board the yacht were armed members of the US Postal Investigative Service (USPIS), The USPIS inspectors swept the boat before federal agents arrived to put Bannon in handcuffs

The central role USPIS played in the stunning arrest helped pull the agency out of obscurity as most Americans were likely unaware of its existence

USPIS is America's oldest law enforcement agency, investigating everything from child exploitation to drug trafficking to financial crimes

A rather over dramatic arrest IMHO.

There it is--the problem isn't what Bannon did, but how the cops arrested him. It never fails. When the subject is street criminals, the cops are heroes in blue. But when the subject is the white collar grifters, cheats and frauds close to Trump, then the cops are oppressive tyrants. Trump has people on a charm bracelet--the police are tools to smash his enemies, but better leave him and his alone!

Just sink the boat and he could earn his freedom.

                    In simple words, Ray,

Trump, base love cops who smash protestors.

Trump, base HATE cops who prosecute white collar criminals connected to Trump.

Bannon is accused of pocketing $1M. How many Target Shopping Carts worth of merchandise is that?

                      Simple enough for you, Ray?

Street crime gets the attention, but the reality is that White Collar Crime, Trump's gig, is where the REAL money is.

Bannon for example: at $1000 per shopping cart of Target Merchandise (a generous amount), Bannon would need 999 friends to help him clear that $1M. 1000 carts.

Bernie Madoff, remember him? No lie, he'd need 65,000,000 carts.

Michael Flynn, by comparison, was only into about 400-500 shopping carts worth of illegal foreign lobbying.

Nobody likes to see a Target smashed, but you have to understand that the actual losses there to criminality are a drop in the bucket compared to White Collar Crime in this country. When people say that Trump's gang is looting the entire country, they're making this point.

I hope you don't mean that to excuse the magnitude of the White Collar variety associated with Trump's circle. Do you mean it that way?

Oh and crunching numbers on Bannon....if those 1000 shopping carts carrying his haul set out in a line with people 6' apart, pushing them, it would be a parade 1.1 miles long! Is that more than all of the shopping carts lost this summer to looting? It sounds close. And it's just one guy on a Chinese Yacht.
