I recall a conversation I had with an inspector in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who maintained that a large percentage of people who commit crimes are really pretty stupid. He then gave me a few examples to back up his statement. Having said that, anybody that posts a picture on the internet of themselves committing a crime really is as stupid as the inspector maintained.

Stupid isn't a strong enough word. Here in Mountain View, Arkansas, a guy robbed a hardware store. An employee, coming to work early, surprised him and he ran off into the woods. The Sheriff and police were combing the woods looking for him. There's a pond back there, and they noticed something in the pond. They got a boat, paddled out to the middle, and found it was the robber's nose. He was hiding under water.

Did I mention this happened in February?
