I have not a clue on the attendance stats at liberty, and honestly , don't care,

but do have some friends and family in that area, and know the picture you paint is not the way it is there,

black churches, white churches, yep, got them all over,

and nary a soul will be turned away if they cross over,

anther btw, many many years ago, after we were married, we spent a weekend w/ one of the bridesmaids and her husband,
they took us to Lynchburg for dinner and dancing,
yep, you can dance in Lynchburg,

nice place, good food, mixed clientele, and a dance floor in the back w/ a bar,

so, black folk, white folk, eating in the same building,, gasp,

socializing,, gasp,


but when a country or rock n roll song was played, most of the black folk left the dance floor, and the white folks piled in,

when an 'urban contemporary' or similar song came on, the opposite happened,

struck me as very odd, since my experiences clubbing in RVA were different, most places were integrated/mixed,. and all drank and danced together,,,,,,

no stink eyes given, nothing but a bunch of folks having fun,

You'd have learned that when someone is the only black in a class discussion, then they can find that their own experiences don't relate to the instructor or other students. True or false: both black and conservative students make this same observation about Liberal college campuses with primarily white student bodies.

OK. I'll bite. At the present time Liberty University's student body is 47.3% non Hispanic white, 14.2% black (black people are 12.1% of the U.S. population,) 5.1% Latino (I thought that one would be higher,) the remainder are assorted pacific islanders and Asians or people who are mixed race or people who didn't declare a race. You might do some research before you blow out an opinion based entirely, it seems, on your personal prejudices about southern whites, especially southern white evangelicals.

Just for comparison - The percentage of black students at Harvard is 6.9%, UCLA is 8.5% and the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana is 5.8%. of the blacks at those secular schools do you think are jocks...hmmmm. Looks to me like the liberal-progressive BLM friendly hoity toity holier than thou schools are pretty "white bread" and aren't doing that well on the diversity front when it matters, doesn't it???? That isn't an accident either. Stats are from College Factual.

Interestingly the University of Alabama does better on diversity than Harvard, UCLA, or Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a black enrollment of a bit over 10%.

As far as the Fallwells are concerned, well, the fact that they're a pair of swingers is pretty much of an open secret and has been for a while. They finally got to the point where they had to go. They were so flagrant I almost think they wanted to get caught. Now they can just go out and participate in their "special lifestyle" as much as they want. So I don't have to be convinced that they and the people who covered for them were corrupt. Liberty U., however, based on the stats, may be conservative but it is surely not "RACIST."

I'm reminded of a sign I saw a fellow carrying down the street a few months ago "Jesus loves you, religion doesn't."...…..and this which is applicable today as when it was first uttered. "Then Jesus said to the crowds and his disciples: The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them." There are plenty of religious leaders this still applies to, and politicians and bureaucrats too a great many of whom are on the political left.
