Dramatically overstating benefits of convalescent plasma as a Covid therapy.

Don't these muttonheads understand that by pissing away FDA credibility now, they'll have that much more trouble getting people to believe any FDA vaccine claims later? I'm a big believer in vaccines, but with Trump running the FDA who wouldn't have second thoughts? God, everything turns to sh*t when this guy touches it.

Togor you once again have missed the point of this. A man stuck in quick sand will take anything he can get to try and get himself out of it. Its the same with people with the virus who are on their last legs. ANYTHING to try and save them is what this is about. If you were this sick and about to die wouldn't you try anything that might, just might save your arse? Tell you what. If you get the virus and your one of those who are very sick and they offer you the plasma, then just say NO it's not approved. Give someone else a chance at living.

Tuna, I understand your point here, but that's not the claim being made. The claim is that convalescent plasma works 10X better than what their own data suggests. FDA is publishing whoppers now to please Lump.

Now someone can say that to a desperate enough man, any rope is better than none at all, but it isn't always true. A kite string, for example. If someone is sick bad, then throwing the kitchen sink of unproven therapies at them may be more then they can handle. Thus it's critical to know what the options are in a credible way.

My whole beef with how hydroxychloroquine was pitched was this idea that if you're sick really bad, almost dead, then it doesn't matter if hydroxychloroquine works or not. Take it and if you live, credit the drug, and if you die, it's not the drug's fault, sick as you were. That's just wrong but that's how alternative therapies get sold.

No as long as he posts he's earning his pay..No different then an ad. you may not watch it but it's still played anyway and other people see it even if you don't..I might agree with you if every one ignored him but that would never happen.

FDA walking back their claims now. Admitting the critics were right. Un-Trumpian to admit error, but someone there realized that a Trumpified FDA is useless to everybody. Sometimes something has to give.
