I just can't understand what is going on with these people and what happened to them i am old and grew up in a different time in the 50s and 60s this kind of thing was not going on to this extent

And that, ultimately, is what this summer is all about--whose life has meaning, and whose does not.The sheriff told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that militia members or armed vigilantes had been patrolling Kenosha's streets in recent nights, but he did not know if the gunman was among them. However, video taken before the shooting shows police tossing bottled water from an armored vehicle to what appear to be armed civilians walking the streets. And one of them appears to be the gunman.
“We appreciate you being here,” an officer is heard saying to the group over a loudspeaker.
Before the shooting, the conservative website The Daily Caller conducted a video interview with the suspected gunman in front of a boarded-up business.
“So people are getting injured, and our job is to protect this business,” the young man said. “And part of my job is to also help people. If there is somebody hurt, I’m running into harm’s way. That’s why I have my rifle -- because I can protect myself, obviously. But I also have my med kit.”
Sam Dirks, 22, from Milwaukee, said he had seen the gunman earlier in the evening, and he was yelling at some of the protesters. “He was definitely very agitated. That's easily settled--the lives of members of a rampaging mob have no meaning, purpose, value; if they were ENDED, this county would be a better place for everyone else. Defenders of the rioting, like Togor & all other Dems, & most of the media, are as responsible for this outcome as the shooter.

He should NOT have been, but when all over the country law enforcement ALLOWS this kind of mayhem, violence, destruction to spread like a wildfire for months, with the Dems & media bending over backward to excuse it, & often praise it, it's predictable that some excitable types like the shooter get pushed off the deep end. He should plead "insanity," brought on by months of seeing on TV property vandalized or destroyed, statues sacred to many toppled, career criminals like Floyd glorified, etc., with little to no attempt made to stop it by local & state gov't. It's enough to drive mature & sensible adults crazy, so small wonder this teenager lost control.Comment

The police shooting started the riots. It's a shooting that looks needless on video, at best premature. Say the guy was under stress and snapped....decides to commit suicide by cop. Suicide is against the law, right? Except when cops are involved? So since he failed, are they going to charge him with attempted suicide? There's a Kafkaesque absurdity to this shooting that needs examination.
Sometimes cops are heroes, putting their own lives on the line to prevent loss of life of others. This shooting does NOT look to be one of those times.Last edited by togor; 08-27-2020, 04:13.Comment

If you watch the video, then you would see he did not shoot till he was attacked from behind by one idiot. He was knocked to the ground and then another idiot tried to take his rifle away dragging him with his sling attached to him. He got control of his rifle and then fired twice killing two. He did not continue shooting. He stopped and then tried to surrender to police. Yes he is 17 and did a stupid thing by being there, but he thought he could make a difference. In a sense he did as last night there were only peaceful protesters who after they march went home. The ones who were creating these problems may have decided that the word around was armed militia now out on the streets. Best to stay away.Comment

Two shots, two deceased scum-bags; much better shooting than the average cop. He deserves a medal, but will be forced to pay dearly by the BLM-lovers. Even if he escapes conviction on grounds of self-defense, as he should, he'll be put through the wringer by the prosecution.
I say again, if police had been allowed by local gov't to stop this national wave of violence, this shooting would never have happened. Most of the cowardly public has stood by, like police, & watched it go on week after week without interfering, but this one very unwise young man did what thousands of US should have begun doing when the epidemic of violence & destruction first broke out.Comment

could have been a gift from a parent, or mom or dad's gun,
underage kids can possess firearms in most states, (if not all) , just cannot buy them
as a semi automatic firearm, and if it was his, no law broken by crossing state lines unless they are banned in the state he is going to ,,
does that help?
BTW,
read elsewhere that of the 3 that attacked him, one was a convicted pedo, the other 2 felons, including one that supposedly had a handgun
