You're right....They should not let law breakers get away with it! Look at all the protesters including some that injured or obstructed the cops, that got away with it and weren't arrested, and/or if they were, they were let go after they were..
Also on your personal hate police story, We need the police investigation report not just the one side of it....Last edited by rayg; 09-01-2020, 07:06.Comment

Actually Ray I found this on the fox site after checking on your LA shooting story. It's fair to cover aspects of police work, and not automatically police hate to do so, yes?
You ever critique someone on the job in your capacity as a supervisor, and they run away screaming to HR how you hate them? Kind of a silly, immature reaction, right? Public servants should expect to be critiqued by the taxpaying public.Comment

The post was not a critique....It's a conclusion before all the facts were in...Comment

The cops left him there, and he was completely bagged! How much more evidence do you need? Sheesh. The "what" is clear....like to know the "why". Maybe the drunk had connections.

You tell me, Ray. What are the officially valid reasons for ignoring operator impairment when investigating a MVA?Comment

I suppose that notwithstanding that the guy opened the car door, he was not in fact the driver. There could be no other explanation for the police letting him just walk away and leave his car and three damaged vehicles behind. I can't conceive of any police officer letting him go if he was the driver.Comment

Interesting to see how this will go in the legal system of California.I suppose that notwithstanding that the guy opened the car door, he was not in fact the driver. There could be no other explanation for the police letting him just walk away and leave his car and three damaged vehicles behind. I can't conceive of any police officer letting him go if he was the driver.

Every accident I've been in, including one where a drunk crashed into a line of cars at a stop sign, and pushed us like dominos, the drivers find the other drivers. Even the drunk.
In my accident, the drunk's van then rolled into a nearby yard, where it smoked and eventually caught fire. The drunk stood next to the burning van, on his phone. Someone asked, "should we get him or something?"
"No," someone else said.
When LE came to the scene, we reported that the guy seemed intoxicated. They became very interested in him then and indeed he left the scene in the back of a squad.
The other drivers figure it out. If they tell the cops and the cops blow it off, it's a f*ckup for sure. Possibly someone gets fired.Comment
