Channel-surfed on the XM Radio driving into work, CNN interviewed the author of the piece. Two points raised:

1) Bolton blames weather in his book, not a hissy fit by Trump. Low cloud ceiling, and motorcade option would have taken 90+ minutes each way.

Reply: yes the weather was bad, but other leaders made it there. And also: US Marine Helicopter Pilots would fly through Hell itself to deliver POTUS to a ceremony honoring Marine dead on the 100th Anniversary of Belleau Wood. They can certainly fly in the rain! (Must have been a gut punch to those pilots to be no-shows.)

2) Why unnamed sources?

Its not about me embarrassing you on what a Purple Heart is awarded for, which is not heroism. They are awarded for being injured by enemy action, and documented treatment by a medical officer. They can be associated with heroic acts no doubt. Which is something Trump would call someone a loser or a sucker for doing.

Your redirection is a poor argument, and quite frankly unbecoming, given the subject of a president denigrating your service.
