Trump was apparently downplaying the threat of Covid, because he "didn't want to create a panic". Or see the economy tank, I suppose. Of course by playing it down, some people followed his lead and concluded it was no big deal, allowing it to spread further and wider. And it's still spreading. Back to the OP I wonder what other mines are out there, ready to go off between now and election day.

Besides Woodward yesterday we have the DHS whistleblower complaint that political appointees are trying to bury vetted reports of Russian election interference at White House request. And they're also trying to muzzle Fauci, apparently without success (so far). A busy Wednesday.
