It is my understanding that is illegal -- you could check with the Federal Election Commission. You could file a complaint -- but like all other government matters, it's a complicated process.

Both the Russian people and the British people are used to centuries of subjugation and authoritarian leadership, the only difference is that the various British authoritarians have been far more benevolent. We really should have no qualms about befriending the Russian people. They are a hard working, sincere and religious people. Lots of conservative family values in Russia... As for iron fisted authoritarians in general, Brits or Democrats don't seem to mind them, as long as they support the right causes and agenda.
