If there was a qualifying exam to be a preacher there would be a lot less preachers wouldn't there? The flip side of getting the Book out of latin and into vernacular tongues is that anyone's opinion can go up against anyone else's. And isn't all that reading and meditation supposed to amount to something besides blindly following the guy at the front of the church?
