What did you guys think about it? I thought Chris Wallace, the so-called moderator, was simply another spokesman for the Dems.

I thought it to be a complete humiliation to us all. And Chris Wallace had nothing to do with that -
He always is.
Everyone expected Biden to bomb. I think that even though he accused Trump and the GOP for what the democrats created (violence and separation) that he held his ground better than I would have guessed (drugs?).
Trump, though he shouldn't have interupted so much, was trying to answer to a lot of lies.
Overall, I think they both sucked but no one is going to change their minds over debates. Everyone knows what Trump has done, is trying to do, and what he would have done if not blocked by obamas judges and the democrat house.
Biden has no record----period. If elected his party will wreck havic on the U.S. Those that don't care shouldn't be here in the first place.
People will vote Republican or Democrat regardless.
I feel most of us thought Trump could have debated better and maybe he will in the upcoming 2.
To me the biggest issue on the election is the fraud of the mail in ballots along with all the other built in cheating that the democrats know how to play all too well.Comment

Sure. Only the democrats want mail in ballots. Only the Republicans are fighting against it and the issue just came up now at election time. What does that tell you?
Fraud is the only way most democrats can possibly get elected so that is what they pursue.Comment

The Democrats NEED fraud as this is the only way to "win" for them. If you can go to shop/bars/restaurants why not vote in person?

It tells me you'll ignore the obvious.
Originally posted by Donald J. TrumpThey had things, levels of voting that if you’d ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again

Trump understands as do all Republicans that if voting is made more convenient, turnout goes up, and their belief is this hurts the Republican Party which has a natural minority of support in the population given the current complexion of its coalition.
Fraud is the excuse to suppress the vote. The flip side is that Democrats don't need to cheat because they have the numbers on their side. You tell me which is the preferable position, to have numbers or to be excusing one's actions with a lie.Comment

When voting is presented in numerous ways people duplicate their votes.
People who mail in their votes will still find their names on the local polling locations too and the criminally minded won't hestitate to vote there as well.
Also, what is to verify that people who mail in their votes aren't using names from obituary's and cemeteries?
Getting back to Sid's original subject. Trump was not very organized, for someone who has accomplished so much he no doubt needed more time but that wouldn't be fair to Biden. I guess with extra time Biden could have hummed or something. As said before, Trump has done far more in 47 months than Biden has in 47 years.
Overall, the debates need more organization, same questions asked and answered, a real moderator, and perhaps a rebuttal time at the end to state what they wish with a 10-15 minute limit instead of 2 minutes.Comment

Basic ignorance about the voting process.

Every voter has a registration on the rolls. When someone votes that is logged in their record. They can't run two ballots for the same person, despite Trump's encouragement for his people to vote twice in North Carolina.
You cannot get an absentee ballot unless you have a proper registration on record.
If your concern is that someone can print a ballot downloaded from the internet and mail it in, this is not possible. Remember, ballots are highly localized to whatever races affect that district. This keeps the ballots de-centralized, which is a powerful disincentive towards fraud.
It is in your interest (responsiblity perhaps) to be informed about how voting practices work, and not take the word of an unscrupulous politician like Trump.
OK?Comment

This describes you well.
Until very recently my state did not require picture ID's when voting. It is my understanding that some states still don't. This is built in fraud. After my father died his name remained on the list of registered voters for many years. I could have gone in and easily voted in his place. I saw many other names of those who had died or were no longer capable of voting. In a twist of things, back when I registered to vote (18 I believe), my name did not appear on the registration record. I had to show them proof that the courthouse gave me in order to vote. This happened every election for a while---I had to register 3 times before they added my name to the list so the people who handle the whole process are little more than vegetables and could care less.
In recent elections the democrat voters actually brag (on camera) about how they illegally voted. It's all a game for them just like the BLM gangs---they see how much they can get away with.

He argues about EVERYTHING too.
If you say the sky is blue he will give a "last word rebuttal" saying it's not blue and we are just idiots to believe so.
I don't know how old Togor is but he sure acts like a kid, the very things he accuses Trump of.
Also, he feels he HAS to reply to every thread here, I suppose in an effort to diminish the meaning of it. Sid asked what we thought of the debate. Let's see what togor can come up with that biden said that will improve America and not the democrats.Last edited by Gun Smoke; 10-01-2020, 06:33.Comment

I have said repeatedly that one of the benefits of a Biden presidency is that conservative media will suddenly expect the POTUS to do a decent job again, instead of always arguing the bar down for Trump. I dare anyone to contradict me on that point. And notice that position actually assumes an adversarial relationship between the free press and the government as necessary and ultimately beneficial thing. None of this "press is the enemy of the people" totalitarian crap that people here like to spout.

Also GS your state requires photo IDs now so everything I wrote before is true. Voter fraud on a wholesale scale is basically impossible, given the ID requirements, and the way the process is dispersed. Possible exception to that being the state of Georgia, where (until recently) their all-electronic system could be hacked by simply editing spreadsheets with results, to the benefit of Republican officeholders (who controlled the voting process).Comment
