What would have done differently if you were the President? The last time I checked the Governors were in charge of their states.

How long are YOU going to beat that drum about what Trump SHOULD have done...but you never say WHAT.

How long a post do you want?

A short one of the high points:

        1. Boost national production on PPE, including N95 masks, and not leave states and local municipalities to have to pay scalper prices, sometimes on the grey market. We didn't ask each division of the US army to contract with Winchester, Springfield Armory, General Motors, Olin, Chrysler, etc. for rifles and ammo did we? No the government said: the country needs it, you will make it at cost plus a wee bit more if you you can get there.

        2. Standardize criteria around the best practices for dealing with acute outbreaks of the pandemic. Masks and distancing do work, so put that message out there and be consistent about it. Yes, power devolves to the states to enforce things, but they are more likely to follow a nationally unified message than a fractured one. The CDC says one thing, Trump says another. The BS around Hydroxy or Pillow Guy juice is ridiculous and inexcusable.

        3. Instead of just throwing money out there in these poorly-crafted bailouts, be smart about it. But that requires actual oversight. The stories of companies grabbing millions and then proceeding with stock buybacks are ridiculous. Republicans love free money from the government with no strings attached. But taxpayer money *ought* to have strings attached to it, to make sure that the taxpayers get as close as possible to a dollar's value for a dollar spent.

Oscar, glad to see you back in GROUP! I was beginning to wonder if the new treatment/medication for your "voices" is helping your life...is it?
