OUTRAGEOUS! Who picks the moderator for these debates?

The next one is even worse than Chris Wallace! He interned under Biden, became great friends with him, and before that he worked for America's most famous drunken slob, Teddy Kennedy.

Why do the Republicans agree to this sort of crap? How come we never see someone like Sean Hannity moderating a debate?

    Here is the story:

Trump has Covid-19. Good chance there won't be any more debates past the Veep one next week.

Hannity is not a journalist, by his own admission. He's an opinion guy, an entertainer.

Even if Wallace was a good/fair moderator he would still be arrogant and a distraction. I mean here is this guy who is 72 trying to look 30 with all that black shoe polish in his hair. Gee, it looks so natural.

Worse, why hasn't FOX fired this liberal? I wondered the same about judge Napolitano and I read now where he was fired about a week ago.

The Republicans who agree to such are probably RINO's and part of the swamp often spoke of.

Sorry GS ... re watch the "debate" and tell me who was the "distraction" at this debate.

Both "sides' agreed to certain rules . .... "both" sides agreed. Who gave the whole scenario a big FU ? ....

Really, who of the three present ignored those rules ?.... oh , sorry... must of been Biden right? Wallace was just a complete asshole for attempting to do his job.

Donald Trump humiliated us all as Americans that night ... and the whole world watched .

I was completely humiliated by our President that night ... and humiliated more that many like you weren't

Well, you didn't have to watch and you certainly don't need to be here on this forum since you are so humiliated.

During the debate, Biden was the only one to use 'name calling' such as "yer a clown", "yer a liar". The moderator was definitely pro democrat! He always addressed Biden a "vice president". I thought Pence was our vice president! There is something wrong at all of Bidens speeches. The 'black pen'. He never writes with it and fumbles unseen by cameras with it with 2 hands. I suspect it is an injection pen. He's juicing himself!

Trump was acting, to make some point, like a giant phallus, and the problem is that Biden gave some pushback? Anyone who sees it that way is in the extreme minority. Obviously if Biden hadn't pushed back the message would be what a pussy he was. Calling Trump a clown was an insult to clowns, an honorable profession for making kids laugh and movies scary.

It doesn't really matter if the moderator is a member of one party or the other. The moderator is expected to be neutral and to keep the speakers in line with the agreed time limits and rules. In the recent debate, it appears that to do that, he would have needed a large cork or in more practical terms, the ability to temporarily disconnect the microphone system.

The moderator should not have the ability to mute a microphone at their on discretion. If they want to silence a candidates microphone when it is the other candidates turn to be ask a question and answer, that might be considered.
