Rick Moranis, 67, has told the NYPD he wants them to 'catch the bad guy' who randomly sucker-punched him.
The attack happened while he was walking on New York City's Upper West Side on Thursday around 7.30am
Surveillance footage captured a stranger walking past him abruptly punching Moranis in the head, knocking him to the ground and he went to hospital with complaints of pain in his head, back and right hip and on Friday afternoon, he was said to be recovering well from his injuries
NYPD is offering a $2,500 award for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect, who fled the scene on foot
Moranis took a 23-year-hiatus from live-action films but recently announced he will be appearing in a sequel to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
