Cops Shoot A Guy At A Gas Station

A police officer employed by a small Texas city has been placed on administrative leave in the shooting death of a 31-year-old man his family said "loved everybody.".

Too often things do not get better when the police show up. Hope there is bodycam video.

I figured with your anti police attitude you would post this.. But at least you could have waited to see what the full story is....Also you left out that the man fought the officer and then the was shot him.

You post cop stuff all the time, why can't others?

Read it again. The victim may have fought with the wife beater. It says nothing about the victim fighting with the cop.

Minding one's own business, then trouble brews and the cops start pulling triggers. How come we can't talk about that?

No! The guy should still be alive, and the cop should be on duty! Dammit Ray when will you understand?? It's not about punishment it's about preventing f*ckups in the first place!!!!!

You have never ran a Police Department.. And if you did. you would find that that it is no different then any other occupation where there are people that make mistakes or that they maybe never should not be that position or occupation!

Everyone has an obligation to try to get better. Especially when the occupation involves an authorization for deadly force. So if someone can't hold the cops to a higher standard than say the Sanitation Dept., then they're part of the problem.

You're a Bears fan, so this will probably get by you, but as Vince Lombardi pointed out, it's about the pursuit of perfection, not necessarily achieving it.

You're arguing that it should just be accepted as a fact of life that cops are going to roll some bad apples out there, and innocent people are going to die as a result. Even if that is at some level true, accepting it as "just the way it is" is a terrible attitude, one I would not want to see in a government employee.

"Nobody is perfect" is the classic "sh*t happens learn to live with it" response.

People say BLM is about burning cities down and installing socialism etc., wild exaggerations intended to excuse ignorance of the message.

BLM is about the question: how did it come to be that when Officer Bubba rolled up to that Texas gas station, shooting the black guy was the outcome? What is happening in those precinct houses, those training centers, that leads over and over to the black guy getting shot, tased, pulled over for nothing? Those questions cut to the bone of a lot of issues, possibly even the conception of policing itself. No wonder some people don't want them examined.

But part of the tradition of America is also: when we identify a problem, we take steps to fix it. I mean, that's why so many left there and ended up here.

But in his IMAGINATION, he's a Chief of Police -- just like he's a Bishop.

Funny how a guy who wishes the President of the United States would die of Corona virus has so much sympathy for criminals.
