A solid majority of 56 percent of Americans say they are better off now

A solid majority of 56 percent of Americans say they are better off now than they were four years ago, a new Gallup survey reveals.

Only 32 percent say they are worse off than four years ago Under Obama-Biden
The number is, as Fox News’s Laura Ingraham noted on Thursday night, “the highest Gallup has ever recorded.”

I worked on a contractual basis for Mason Dixon Survey for a few months post retirement. Tell me what answer you want and I will design a poll/survey to give the desired results. Hint key words to watch for are feel, believe, know etc.

About 3 months ago one of the guys on the lawn crew at the condo's I maintain was going off about how much better the economy is now as opposed to Obama's time .

This is from a guy who can't come up with the $1200 needed to pay his DUI fines and get his drivers licence back. Same guy that was bragging his wife had just "up graded" to a $1400 used SUV

I don't know about him , but for me as a self employed small time employer of others.... I am definitely not better off now than 4 years ago. Even pre pandemic I'd lay that same claim

GOOD.. You are too stupid to join the 56%. I hope you starve to death. But, you won't because you would would eat your children before you would get hungry. Your parents apparently bought you with them to the US. They and you have prospered because they got you here instead of the turd world sh--hole they ran away from. Now you want to make America a sh1t hole copy of the disaster your parents fled.

And now you hate and diss your father because he made your life 100 is times better off because he bought you to the USA.

OMG, WHA, TA, GOO, SHU, R?

The average salary in Bogota, Colombia as of 2019 is is COP 1,000,000, which is approximately USD 310. This figure is very low in comparison with the highest average salary worldwide (USD 5,975 in Luxembourg).

          ).

Gallup poll ... instant respect ... except when it presents a result that does not support left-wing demokrat hatred and resentment. Sincerely. bruce.

His poor management is all Trump's fault, you understand. Trump is supposed to come down and supervise his business for him -- isn't that what we pay him for?

Oh, I forgot -- we DON'T pay him. He gives his salary to good causes.

Why would someone want the debtor to offer business advice. Clearly he's in need.

Donates salary, and bills the remainder to his hotels.

Look at the history. Pretty steady, net negative, but every once in awhile a big spike that doesn't persist. Moral of the story, don't cherry pick poll data.

                      It's a good question Ray .

The business itself has been turning down work for quite some time, even now. The reason was lack of "reliable " help . We had girls bringing in $ 600 for 32 - 34 hours of unskilled labor. I can't afford any more incentive than that . So that curtailed growth.

The real prob is not a drop in income ...that has remained somewhat consistent { meaning gross}. It's the cost of doing business .

A vacuum that we used to pay $109.00 for two years ago is now $149.00 and parts are no longer available . One building wants new soap dispensers....they've been on back order for 6 weeks and the customer want's to know why they cost so much more than the building next door paid for theirs last year.

A jug of Lysol was running me $7.85 3 years ago... now it's $14.00 and I have to buy a lot to get it at that price.... and I do buy a lot.

It's not just the business , gas prices are great for sure but the can of Progresso Clam Chowder that was $1.79 two years ago is now $2.49 just as a small example.

Sorry to be a fly in the happy ointment but I can only go by the numbers .... for the same efforts as a working guy my net was far greater four years ago .

Apparently the Obama Freebies that the President has stopped has affected Pebbles greatly. Now Pebbles has to pay his "fair" share rather then the government freebie ride that Pebbles was on.

Try buying framing lumber now and particularly that which is treated. For example 2x6 x 12ft was $10-12 ea last spring and is now $40 ea.

The big hole he keeps pussyfooting around is that OTHER people in his line of business operate under the SAME conditions he does. Are they are all going bankrupt, or is it only the poorly managed businesses that are failing?

Yes a good Republican businessman knows when to sing Trump's praises, and when to just keep quiet and take the free government money (no strings attached).
