    The CBS News

It's Friday and just a bit past the 7:00 pm CBS new broadcast.

Of all the news broadcasts on our nightly television I will confess that I try not to miss the last 7 minutes of the nightly CBS news .

CBS is the only one of the bunch that tries to end it's nightly broadcast with a non political feel good pro America story ......., but Fridays are special .

Steve Hartman , On The Road .

Tonight he did it again , he showed us a piece of America as it was, as it is, and as it should be with never a single inference to politics.

Watching it tonight was a wonderful 5 minutes of real America. To me it was "Real News"

After the GOP wins in 1994 NPR sent a correspondent on a LONG-3-4 months-trip through flyover country, he said it was a different world out there.

It still is, and fatter, thanks to high fructose corn syrup.

Maybe to compensate for 2 hrs of tireless Negrophilia on the CBS Morning News every day. With Oprah's Best Friend Gail King in charge ($5.5 mil annually), it's a non-stop celebration of Everything Black, today's show being a tribute to the unknown black woman whose name is going to replace Woodrow Wilson's on an important building at Princeton U. Hooray!
