-Wheeler has been described as the loneliest guy in Portland and he sounded like it at debate’s end. He was painfully honest about the personal crises of the last year: “My friend Nick Fish died[I'm guessing queer. sic]. My mom died. I was going through a divorce(I'm sure he will find a "friend"). Anyone who has gone through those also knows that can be taxing.”
And because the city remained in a state of “pervasive crisis” – the pandemic, the economic shutdown, “a national reckoning around racial justice and equity” and an endless cycle of anxiety and frustration – Wheeler said, "That distracted me from my ability to campaign.
“I didn’t campaign.”-
He didn't run the city either. Adios douche.
I'd be tempted to to forgive Portland if they elected some one, anyone, who could clamp down some, but I doubt that will happen so I'll never set foot in that town again. Seattle either. Well everything west of, hmmm, Phx.? Globe? Nevada and Utah are still safe I think.
