Game over.. lets riot, loot and damage...

Police arrested dozens of people after a crowd celebrating the Los Angeles Lakers’s NBA championship descended into violent riots Sunday, police said. 76 arrested..30+ buildings damaged..8 officers injured..2 injured by less lethal munitions fired by our officers

A total of 76 people were apprehended by law enforcement, over 30 buildings were damaged and eight officers were injured by violent demonstrators after the Lakers defeated the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals, according to a Monday tweet from Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

The department estimated roughly 1,000 “revelers” descended on California streets, some of whom hurled projectiles at officers during an “unlawful assembly.” and motorists were reportedly harassed by the crowd and some were reportedly pulled from their vehicles and beaten, according to CBS News. At least two businesses were looted by the mob of NBA fans, CBS reported.

Video showed a group of people, many donning Lakers jerseys, surrounding, kicking and throwing objects at a police cruiser that was forced to back away.

Other footage showed a mass crowd igniting fireworks while cars engaged in burnouts in the middle of the street.

Video posted by a contributor for Los Angeles Magazine appeared to show a group of people looting a Starbucks, as graffiti and broken windows could be observed.

I had a kid in school at Pitt when the Packers beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl. There were cops on horseback on the streets, ready for action. Since the Steelers lost that one things were a bit more subdued but there were some trash can fires and the like.

This one in LA sounds a bit more boisterous but no one was trying to topple the existing power structures if that's what is worrying Ray.

My very first weekend, of my very first semester of college after military service, a couple frat houses started a riot, burned couches, and flipped over a car in the street. But, that was during the football season.

Thank you for replying, I KNEW that you would have first hand knowledge. Being an expert on snow this is something the Russian Army has to contend with.

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

As far as precipitation goes, well...growing up in a winter climate leaves one ample time to enjoy snow in the driveway, from behind a shovel.

Only Dems are interested in watching tatoo-covered BLM supporters.

But I don't fault them for trashing LA; too bad they didn't burn the whole place down.
