Which is preferable for the good of the country: a 10% turnout of the best informed voters, or a 75% turnout of poorly-informed voters (who may or may not be literate, may or may not even speak English) picked up by a Dem-chartered bus that will carry them to a big banquet afterwards?Comment

So you're an elitist?Which is preferable for the good of the country: a 10% turnout of the best informed voters, or a 75% turnout of poorly-informed voters (who may or may not be literate, may or may not even speak English) picked up by a Dem-chartered bus that will carry them to a big banquet afterwards?
You postulate that the sorting criteria should be how informed a voter is. That implies some education, a proven ability to sort out fact from fiction, critical thinking skills over raw prejudice, and of course, some kind of test. You really think the Liberal elite is going to feel disadvantaged going up against America's truck drivers (for example) in such a competition?
The right answer is the one I've been advocating--encourage participation in a broad scale, let the parties compete fairly.Comment

With all the corruption the democrats are so well known for they are trying to get 300% of the eligible (and non-eligible, grave yard and made up people) voters.Comment

We're both old enough to remember when Republicans thought expanding ballot access and increasing turnout was a good idea. So what has changed? Ballot security is tighter now than ever, but now instead of both parties wanting to expand access, one party wants to restrict it. What has changed? The electorate has changed. Republicans are struggling to assemble winning coalitions both with and without the far right.Comment

Remember that Togey can only spout, not vote!Which is preferable for the good of the country: a 10% turnout of the best informed voters, or a 75% turnout of poorly-informed voters (who may or may not be literate, may or may not even speak English) picked up by a Dem-chartered bus that will carry them to a big banquet afterwards?

It would be one thing if Togey was an American, as a Haitian here as a "guest" what right does Togey have to say anything about us? Togey is running out of time and he knows it as Togey will have to go back to Haiti next year. Wonder what kind of "trained" engineer broom Togey will push there. Perhaps Pebbles can open a branch on the island and hire Togey as an "engineer" of sorts.

Based on today's posts, it looks like you're having another manic episode, and not getting enough attention?
