    Exodus of NYPD cops continues

Exodus of NYPD cops continues with patrol chief's sudden retirement as the department admits departures have increased 87 percent from last year and that's just so far

This year, as of October 6, 2,385 officers have submitted their retirement papers, the NYPD told Fox News - an 87 per cent increase last year.

Resignations are also up compared to data from 2019

The New York Police Department said it was 'a troubling trend'
On Tuesday Fausto Pichardo, chief of patrol, became the latest to retire, aged 41

Who designated 2021 as a "rebuilding year" for the NYPD? There is a mass exodus of law enforcement personnel as they know they no longer have anyone supporting them. Just who wants these jobs under democrat officials?

Send an unarmed "moderator" out to settle disputes?

Let’s not get carried away with the whoa is me stuff. Out of a force of over 30000, there is an increase in retirements from 254 to 306 for the same time increment. Some other factoid is the potential exclusion of senior sergeants and lieutenants from the

DROP program which was initially proposed as a stimulus to keep senior patrol officers on the force for a few more years. In reality, senior lieutenants have been able to walk away with cash payments of $500k + Increased pensions. Due to budget problems, there have been proposals to limit this program to the original groups.

That figure is only for officers resigning not retiring.. and the figures are only to Oct 6th...Wait until the end of the year figures are in to show the actual comparisons for the entire full year to last year.. Potential retirement is up 87%
