    China Facts

    https://www.nytimes.com/live/2020/10...-account-there

Trump paid $188K in Taxes to China from 2013-2015, compared to nothing to the US Treasury. Money for the People's Liberation Army to use to threaten us and our allies.

Until last year the largest PRC State owned bank rented 3 floors in Trump tower, a lucrative deal for Trump.

Not bad for a guy who has never sent an email in his life.

Togor, if you love communism so much, why don't you move to China or Russia?

Of course you are. You always miss the point. But in your case, intentionally. Getting defensive about it too.

And you know this because your buddys at the IRS let you see the documentation, right?

It is just another made up lie by you and your traitorous and colluding friends. The only reasons anybody will vote for Biden is because there is a D (as in Democrat) association with the name and they don't like Trumps manners. The fact is people of all races are better off in the USA because of what he has done.

You are a psychotic liar and a fool.

So he followed the laws of both countries.

If he broke any tax laws here you better believe we would have known by now.

Rather elect the guy that cut my taxes rather than the guy guaranteeing to raise my taxes.

Business don't PAY taxes, businesses COLLECT taxes. Every penny "taxed" from General Motors was paid by the consumer in higher automobile prices.

semantics, but curious how much it costs to do business in China, and how much other companies, and the owners, have to pay ..

maybe our resident Foreign Tax Accountant/Expert can enlighten us,

No, the companies and owners do not pay the taxes -- they collect the taxes from the consumer and pass them on to the government.

Not semantics, stark reality. Look at it this way -- I make widgets. It costs me $1.00 to make a widget and ship it. I charge $1.05 -- giving me a 5% profit.

Now something happens to increase my cost -- energy prices go up, my rent goes up, interest on my next loan goes up. It now costs me $1.20 to make a widget and ship it. If I'm going to stay in business, I HAVE to raise my prices. So I now charge $1.26 for widgets, and still make a 5% profit.

It doesn't matter WHAT drives costs up -- including taxes -- I have to incorporate that cost in the sale price. So I don't pay the tax, the consumer does. All I do is collect the tax and pass it on to the government.

                            ok,

                            so,

                            I sell you a widget,

here in central VA, Sales Tax is 6%, so I charge you 6% and pay that to the state,

if my business shows enough income, I have to pay income taxes, to the feds and state,

and I have to pay income taxes on any money I make,

                            so,,

restating the question, how much in tax is paid to China by companies doing business in China, AND/OR by the folks working there, and the folks that own the company,

                            IOW,

what is the cost in $$$ to do business in China

Corporations have never paid a single dollar in taxes. Taxes are just another entry in the expense column. If the rent, goes up the price of the goods goes up... and who pays that me and you or Wall Street?
