Songs now included with kneeing by athletes at games

Seems that Kneeling is now joined by demands on what songs are OK by the athletes ...
This summer, student athletes shared a joint statement saying they would not participate in recruitment or donor events if certain requests weren't meant.

University of Texas band won’t play its alma mater ‘The Eyes of Texas’ at Saturday's football game because it was performed at minstrel shows with blackface as it will not play 'The Eyes of Texas' at Saturday's football game in Austin

Band members previously said they would not play the song due to its association with minstrel shows and blackface

They filled out a survey asking whether they would be willing to play the song going forward

'Based on (survey responses), we do not have the necessary instrumentation, so we will not participate in Saturday's game,' said Hanna

President Jay Hartzell said the alma mater would continue to be played throughout the season, despite push-back from students and fans
