Right because the virus behaves differently in each municipality.

Your line of argument only makes some kind of sense from the perspective of trying to spread the virus as quickly as possible. What's the mortality rate for people your age? 5%? Doesn't seem like seasonal flu.

PEOPLE behave differently in each municipality, different jobs & lifestyles, & that's why the collectivist's "one size fits all" program has thousands burning masks in the street to assert their freedom.

5% is a risk non-bedwetters find easy to accept.

Perhaps, until the virus strikes paydirt.

Internet is full of videos of regret by those who got a bad case.

What about all the bedwetters who obeyed their orders to the letter, & STILL got a bad case? What's their regret?

            Got someone in mind?

Here's a fun table. You can see your probability of dying in the next year.

            https://www.ssa.gov/oact/STATS/table4c6.html

That's without Covid, a 2017 table. If the national strategy is "f*ck it, herd immunity," and someone figures their chance of contracting it is 50-50, and they're in say a 5% mortality bracket, then that's another 2.5% bump on their 1 year death probability. Depending on their age, that could be a doubling.

Not hard to see that the country will get slightly younger, and a tad more liberal, and the Fox News viewership will shrink a bit.

But like GSWs, those whom Covid does not kill it does not necessarily make stronger.

Also, Covid mortality increases if a region gets swamped.

            Bon appetit.

Think less Chicken Pox, more Polio. That is, after-effects. Now Covid doesn't paralyze people like polio (obviously) but it scars the lungs, causes myocarditis in a significant number of cases.

                    https://www.medpagetoday.com/infecti.../covid19/88487

For the average person, there are plenty of reasons not to get this disease.

Not everyone is average, however, some are exceptional. But among those who resist taking measures to control the disease, I wonder.....how nasty would it have to be for them to get with the program? In some cases (maybe yours) I think the answer is.....never! It could have an 80% mortality for your group and I suspect you wouldn't change a thing.

Another way of looking at that life expectancy table is that if your mortality risk suddenly doubles, then your life expectancy (years of life remaining) suddenly goes down by half. So the Trump Plan To Manage Covid Through Herd Mentality [sic] is chopping expected years of life away, especially for seniors. No wonder Iowa is back in play!

So they don't spend the last 10 yrs of their lives in a nursing home wearing diapers? Or, wondering who & where they are if they develop dementia? Myself, I'd just as soon skip that.

The Democrats (Cuomo in particular) gave them the best of both worlds -- putting people infected with Covid 19 in nursing homes to infect all the residents. How many people did he kill that way?

the media will never let us know,

sad thing is , Cuomo is directly responsible for more deaths than Trump ever could be

And his performance is a good preview of what this country will be like with Democrats running it.
