well when she dialed 911, surely she knew the dispatcher would send out some of each,

meaning she may have made the wrong call,

    however,

would a dispatcher be trained to analyze the call and send medical vs police?

pondering how that would work out if the new world order (defund the police) went thru,,,,

If you're a paramedic on a call about someone waving a knife, are you going to want some cops there with you? I think their main idea is to provide medical care for the patient, not themselves.

They both show up as a matter of course. When medics are on a scene and there are nitwits about or interfering they point them out to the cops; "Keep him away from me". The medic goes back to what he was working on. There isn't a university symposium there to debate it. Eight kids? OK,nine minus one. If some one picked off eight of the looters that would even it up. Of course not monetarily. Looting falls under Act of God I guess. You can't shoot hurricanes and you can't shoot looters.

There is an old saying, "What's the most useless thing in the world? A dead rescuer."

It doesn't make sense for a medic to show up unprotected and become another victim.

but in the new world order, where the police are defunded and a mental health social worker should be sent instead,

would that have made a difference,

Might have made a diff in who got killed--the mental health worker, rather than this violent criminal.
