What is it about liberalism that attracts so many ? ...

I can understand it with the dumbsh!ts who think there's
50 Justices on the Supreme Court or think it was Germany
who won the War between the States, but how about the
others ? What is it those reasonably intelligent people find
so attractive in ridding ourselves of oil and allowing the
country to be flooded with mostly moronic foreigners ?
Do they truly believe that 747s will be able to take off
with solar panels fastened to their wings ? Have they not
read of all the past failures of socialism/communism no
matter where it has been tried ?
I can't really figure it out no matter how hard I try. Yes
I can understand about those wishing eternal handouts,
but that doesn't explain about the intellectuals. How can
they be so shortsighted as to not see how destructive it is ?

Same thing as Scientology or any other phoney New Age religion. Jonestown was just a pilot run for the modern Democratic party. Neurotic, empty people will follow an escalating series of absurdities to get their next dopamine high by feeling like they are "on the arc of history". Why do you think suburban white women are willing to sell their kids future down the river and vote for open borders, more refugees, and socialism? Cults prey on and manipulate emotional and weak willed members of society.

You guys don't know what you're talking about.

Look up the definition of liberalism.

a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.
Conservatism, at its best, allows for the pursuit of liberal goals at a measured pace, emphasizing the positive roles of private enterprise, tradition, religion, individual responsibility.

Anti-liberals, if that's what people aspire to become in their old age, oppose individual rights, civil liberties, democratic practices. To be an anti-liberal is to be a tiny cog in someone else's machine. Because when an anti-liberal order is established, individuals don't get a say.

There are a few committed anti-liberals here, and they know who they are. The rest are conservatives, in varying degrees of confusion.

Most don't realize for example that the anti-maskers, as misguided as they are on the merits, are nonetheless expressing a liberal impulse.

it isn't conservatives who block speakers who are "politically incorrect." It isn't conservatives who decree what you can and cannot say.

You use ignore, and demand others use it and stop sharing valid and correct points you disagree with.

                    Look in the mirror. ❄❄❄

The other part is that progressives NEED to follow their leaders, not to think for self just do as they are told to do. This way this form of National Socialism can use the same defense as the Waffen SS did, "I was just following orders!"
