    Georgia Elections

I admit to being as surprised as anyone as to the results. But then I learn that Mr. Raffensperger, the Secretary of State (who runs the GA elections), was a civil engineer, and then I think "oh, it's possible that this guy really wanted to run a tight ship". The June primary was a debacle, but he actually got busy and fixed some of the problems and poll worker shortages.

He's under fire now, because two Senate positions are going to runoff, and Biden has about 14,000 more votes in the first tally than Trump. In fact the two GOP Senate candidates have demanded that he resign. The legislature is peeved too, although presumably the GOP has no problem with the election results from the contests that they won. A couple of subtexts seem possible here, to explain the GOP reaction:

They let too many black people vote.

They didn't do what they were supposed to do with the results.

No, Georgia elections have been interesting to watch for the last couple of decades. They went all-electronic for awhile there, and then in 2018, Kemp ran the election that made him Governor. No conflict of interest there or anything of course.

Like Abrams or hate her, she got busy, and got a result. Better believe she's on some radar screens now, on both sides. Nothing to criticize in her bio either. Came up from dirt poor and made good, like in the old days. Georgia could be the next Virginia of the old Confederacy.

Oh and I like that engineer quote. Been on both sides of it, but never shot, not yet. (Well the whole company went down once, that's different).

But yeah that's the vibe in places where Trump lost...this wasn't supposed to happen, so there's something wrong with the process....need to fix the goddamn process so it doesn't happen again. That's the vibe that has people on the other side keep an eyeball out for voter suppression.

But surely (he says rolling eyeballs) if this latest round of x-rays on the 2020 election shows nothing besides the expected low level of measurement noise, that does not affect the result, meaning Trump lost fair and square, people will accept the result and move on confident that elections and voting in the USA work well.

Unless Whites come to their senses. At least Georgia isn't cursed like Va with the hundreds of thousands of fed parasites who work in DC, but wouldn't think of living there. On the other hand, there's Atlanta, which I hope is at the top of Kim's target list.

The Georgia CH dreams of, but hopefully we'll never see.

Never heard of the CDC or Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex?
