Trump talked out of a strike there by Pence, Pompeo, Milley. The problem is that they have amassed 12x more nuclear material than they had in 2018 when Trump quit the deal. Whatever he thought might happen, it only made things worse.

See this is my problem with the Trump cult. When presented with a set of facts about their hero not to their liking, they deny the facts altogether. To hear them say it, the only thing Trump did wrong was E15 gas, and, maybe, bump stocks. But definitely E15 gas. That's such a small view of the world.

Get your facts straight.

There was a 6 party deal,

Iran drew down its stocks of nuclear material, agreed to suspend it's enrichment program, agree to inspections, got some economic relief, including return of frozen IRANIAN assets from US financial institutions.

Money is ubiquitous, piles of it show up in many countries.

Bomb grade uranium much less so.

The point of that deal was to keep the Iranians from accumulating bomb grade uranium, and it was doing that.

But, you know, Obama, so,

Trump and Pompeo decided to try to squeeze the sh*t out of the Iranians. But guess what? The PRC is no more interested in seeing the Iranian regime toppled than the DPRK regime. So squeezing has reached the limit of its effectiveness, and at that limit, the Iranians are back in business enriching uranium. Who could have seen that coming?. F*cking anybody with half a brain, that's who. Diplomacy is a team sport, meaning Trump is terrible at it.

Go back and read Trump's voluminous criticisms of the Obama administration with respect to Iran and the DPRK and then consider if he leaves things better or worse for 4 years of Trump. It's a serious, big boy inquiry.

People don't remember the protests in IRAN after the nuclear deal. What happened? The relaxing of sanctions put pressure on the regime from within. People wanted a better life and saw an unpopular regime as holding them back.

Since Trump? They hate the regime but cannot disagree with it when it blames the Americans. Add Covid-19, and Iranians are living in a dark hell of disease, repression and misery.
