Omaha cops arrest multiple protesters in violent clashes during demonstration over armed black man who was shot and killed by police after refusing to get out of his friend's car

Kenneth Jones, 35, was shot and killed during a traffic stop Thursday in Omaha
Police say that they approached his car and yelled at him to stop moving
They say they saw a gun and opened fire: he was found with a loaded handgun

Protesters on Friday demanded the release of body-camera footage
The activists wanted to know why the evidence had not yet been released

Omaha police department declared the protest an unlawful assembly
Several people were seen being handcuffed and taken away by police

Well seeing a gun is no reason to shoot a man. Now if he was pointing the weapon then thats another story.

First he was uncooperative as OPD said officers used a flashlight to break a car window and they said Jones continued to try to pull away.

They said officers ordered Jones, to 'stop reaching' as they attempted to get him out of the car.

Police said Jones was just released from the Department of Corrections in 2018 and According to police, he was released for being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon.

And as such It was illegal for him to have a gun and maybe he was trying to hide it but it was spotted while it was in his hand which officers responded to as a threat..or maybe he intend on using it....I guess we have to wait for the full story

No and I wasn't from NYC, LA, Seattle, Chicago, or the other places were there was a lot of rioting..Do you have to be from there to post about it? If that would be the case..I would be hard pressed to find some thing like that were I live to post about.. What! ...Are you trying to shut me up!.Lol..
