    Jourlalism is dead

We used to get our news at 6PM from the Huntly-Brinkley hour and Edward R Murrow, Walter Cronkite. No matter which network they were on, they have the same news and they were trusted. The big thing then was to discover somethinh before the other fellow.

Now, discover is the operative word. It implies actual work researching and talking to people. Reporters have always twisted the truth. I have been misquoted in print before. Asked an either/or type question, the reporter chose to attribute a "not my answer" to me. Now, we have examples of outright lies, paid informants to lie, and made up stories presented as truth.

Under law, a person is innocent until prpben guilty. The Spcialist Democrats and their media have corrupted this to "A person is guilty of whatever I say whether they can prove otherwise or not"

My family and friends are probably tired of hearing me say thay objective journalism died in Sep. 2008. That was when the media went all in for Obama, and quit pretending to be objective in their candidate coverage. To me, it was so obvious that it was as if someone turned on a socialist spotlight.

They had an 8 year ride of witholding the truth, spinning the truth and lies however the Socialist Democrats wanted it. At that time, FOX was the only "fair and balanced" news source, even if the competing networks "borrowed" that description. We all know now that FOX mgmt has caused the network to slide over to the "dark side". (I wonder if has anything to do with the Socialist Democrats clear statements that there will be repercussions for Trump supporters?)

I no longer watch FOX in meltdown. NEWSMAX and EPOCH TIMES now get my support. It's no coincidence that there are familiar faces there. I'm sure thete will be more. Refreshingly, EPOCH TIMES gives the news without analysis (also called opinions)

This isn't a rant...it is my opinion, on this opinion forum.

You think journalism is dead... ? You think they don't tell the truth ?

How many fact based truths that could stand up to a fact check have you heard our president put forth in his disjointed sentences over the past four years ?

fair is fair and we need to look in both directions

Just a warm-up for what would happen when Trump was elected--such an unspeakable, unbearable, outrage to libs that ALL pretense to fairness was thrown out the window, & calling him a "LIAR" became commonplace!

Trump is 2 for 33 in court at present for a reason. If NEWSMAX and FALUN GONG TIMES can't cover that for you then maybe you should ask what they're doing.

ALL politicians lie--it's part of their job description, & most don't claim falsely & sanctimoniously to be fair & objective--being a politician is by definition "having a political bias." So-called journalists, on the other hand, always CLAIM to be impartial & objective, merely "reporting the news," NOT putting their own slant on it. You don't see a difference?

when the person reading the news on TV decides to add commentary, instead of just reading the news objectively and letting the listener or reader decide for themselves, then yes, journalism is dead,

years ago things were a bit more balanced, and you the reader/listener were expected to decide,

            not any more,

but, when most news outlets are part of a big corporation, that was bound to happen

Well, the Colored News Network have at least been very up-front for their entire existence. Their brand started as yellow journalism and has never changed.

Walter Cronkite was aggressively against the Vietnam war in his nightly
broadcasts and certainly did his share in encouraging the anti-war riots.
