Bitcoin - is this the biggest hoax of all time ? ...

The current value of just one Bitcoin is just shy of 19,000 dollars.
So who exactly can afford to stash a few of those in the safe ?
Pundits forecast that it will replace Gold and Silver as a store
of value - huh. like crap it will. What is it's intrinsic value ?
None. It's a piece of low value Brass. Now I have a bunch of old
British 3 penny pieces, also made of Brass so maybe I can trade
them in for a Porche ? Don't I wish. Somewhere down the line
they'll realize that like the Emperor's new clothes, it's a scam
and those billionaires who have more money than sense will
lose their shirts. Then we can all laugh and gloat over our silver.

One of the problems of such virtual currenciesl is the non-trivial amounts of electric power needed to mine new "coins". It shows up in weird ways, like when a rural co-op has affordable electricity in some small town, only to find that a vacant warehouse gets filled with power-hungry bitcoin servers, throwing a wrench in the planning of the local service area, who may then have to scramble to find more wholesale supply. It is, ultimately, a completely non-productive use of natural resources.

Silver? I love their commercial, where they show silver has been going down, down, down for ten years, but as soon as you buy it, it will zoom back to its "historic high."

I collected as much as I could in 64 just before it was called in.
Then I bought a bunch as 3x face value. Now it's around 25x face value.
Beats brass and Tulips hands down.

Now that's a horse of a different color. When people complain about gas prices, I always tell them I'll sell them all they want, at 1960 prices -- IF they pay with 1960 dimes, quarters and half-dollars.

I remember The Gas Wars with stations competing for customers.
I recall 31 cents a gallon. Plus give aways (sets of glasses etc)
Of course I didn't get here until 63.

Don't invest any more in bitcoins than you are comfortable in losing.

"New" TP is also now a valuable commodity. Trying to figure out where to hide a case of Makers Mark and Napoleon Brandy...medicinal of course!

Those calibers are for Elk size marauders.
                          I should have included 22LR.
