In the most EXTREME circumstances, a potential benefit. What's obviously nuts is to enforce measures advisable in the most EXTREME circumstances everywhere, all the time, without discrimination. But where the goal is unreasoning hysteria & mindless obedience, OF COURSE reasonable, rational discrimination must be silenced--it's the only way to perpetuate the fear.

Have you ever asked a person to put their mask on? You are giving these people too much credit that they highly value their personal freedoms. Here is a few of their responses. I don't have too, the mask order expired, I can't breath, its too hot, I ain't sick, I forgot, I left it in the car, then you have the wife and children wearing them and the male isn't. Most of them are just dumb asses.

You've been watching too many deodorant commercials.

A mask, like an umbrella, is going to work BETTER in light duty conditions than in extreme service. Your understanding how barriers work is exactly opposite of how they DO work. No wonder you're all in knots.

The one in knots is the one afraid of what's NOT there! I'm NOT afraid, despite all fear-mongers like yourself have done to propagate the hysteria. I & almost everyone I know live our private lives in defiance of your fear-mongering, but we are furious at being compelled to submit to the state-mandated hysteria in order to eat, that is, buy food.

If "saving lives" is truly the ALL-important consideration, return the national speed limit to what it was during WW II -- 45 mph. Wouldn't you be willing to drive a little slower to save someone's life?

                    Cars are way safer now.

Seat belts, antilock breaks, blind spot sensors, the list goes on.

I suppose you're still in a 1940 Dodge Truck? Cool but no comparison as you must know.

But every single life is precious, the State Dictator of NY keeps saying. Wouldn't you accept some inconvenience to save even one life?

I'm not an absolutist. Talk to Vernon, who would put every uterus under government control to do just what you propose. Vernon says "freedom for me but not for she."
