Well Joe Biden has at least shown his true colors. He wants to register all firearms classified as an assault weapon. A $200 dollar tax to go along with it AND a $200 tax on each magazine over 10 rounds and they of course must be registered too. This will all hinge on the outcome of the elections in Georgia and will happen if the Republicans loose the senate. At least it isn't the plan Harris wants as she wants all semi autos from Rifles to shotguns to handguns turned in and destroyed. Well, time will tell as it always does.
Biden's plan.

I don't know if Biden can get his (Harris, Kelly, O'Rourke and Feinstein's plan) through. I think they'll put on the full court press for more restrictive laws. A lot of that depends on whether they can get Harris as the tie breaking vote in the Senate and Joe Manchin to commit political suicide. Manchin is up for re election in 2022 as a Democrat in a state that went for Trump this time by almost 69%. He had his finger high in the wind when he voted to approve Justice Cavanaugh.
The Dems have made Australia their model for gun control where no control is ever enough. Having, in the not too distant past banned the private ownership and use of all most all pump shotguns there is now a bru-ha-ha there about plans to import a lever action shotgun because it's seen by the anti's as a way to get around the pump gun ban.
Besides blow back against their plan by the usual suspects, they might have to face resistance from militant left wingers who regularly show up at events armed to the teeth with "black rifles."
They may, however squeeze universal background checks through. Manchin and Toomey proposed such a bill in the Obama administration and it went down in flames, Obama blew his cool over that, he was fuming when he made a statement after that one. Expect a strong attempt at repealing or significantly weakening the "Protection of Lawful Firearms Commerce Act." They might be able to pull off a few Repubs for such a bill. Action like that would devastate the US arms and ammunition industry.
I think you can absolutely expect executive orders on ammunition imports (bye bye cheap 7.62x39 ammo.)Last edited by Art; 11-23-2020, 05:16.Comment

Their main problem will be the enormous number of firearms
already in the hands of the people, although many would give
them up with nary a whimper.
Add to that the growing militia movements around the country.
One thing's for sure - it's going to be interesting.

"Freedom once lost is lost forever" (John Adams).
In his book "Negros and the Gun: The Black Tradition of Arms" Nicholas Johnson points out that in every country, and I mean every country the number of guns the government doesn't know about is at least twice the number it does know about. The total failure of laws requiring private citizens to turn in their high capacity magazines in California and New Jersey would tend to indicate that here the number would be a lot higher than two to one.Comment

A question on the 4473 Forms are they in an electronic data base or just paper note books? To Error Is Human To Forgive Is Not SAC PolicyComment

paper, and stored at the Tracing center when a shop shuts down, and not in a database
if a shop is still open, it is on the premise of that shop, or an approved storage area,
and the 4473 is not registration, it is merely a .gov document you signed saying you were eligible to buy that firearm at that time, meaning that it is your property to do with as you see fit, and if you sell it , that is your right,
whether you had to go thru another dealer or not to sell that firearm, depends on your state law,
however, do you really think the .gov will search each and every gun shop in the nation?
think about the number of semi automatics in the US,, including your kid's 22'sComment

no, it's not actually, it just says you owned it at that time,
registration implies that it has to be removed from your name, when in fact, it does not, when you dispose of it (sell, destroy etc)
folks like to use a Car as a comparison,
however, you register the car with DMV, and when you get pulled, you have to show your registration , and when you sell , you have to sign the title over so it can be registered to the person or dealer purchasing the Car,
not so with a firearm, unless it is a NFA item or required by your state
and remember, owning firearms is considered a right (2nd A, BOR)
owning a car and a drivers license is considered a privilegeComment

ALL guns have to be taken and ALL cops disarmed. When I got my first vest, a Second Chance, the instruction paper said that ANY sharp object will penetrate the vest. A likely serrano is to ambush any officer with a fake drunk call and use a cross bow/bow and arrow to gain access to all the cop's firearms. Back in 1982 I was one of 5 Deputies who did the Street Survival seminar and it opened my eyes up on how to kill any cop. Working with my x-cons I learned more about what not to do! Even a chicken plate has it's limitations of use.
