As long as mail-in voting exist as it is now there will be no free and fair elections ever.

Since this is a federal election I don't see how the states are allowed to play games and have different rules on voting. Even with the state senate elections what happens in one state affects the whole nation so it would seem to me that everone should be required to have uniform rules and laws when it comes to voting.

Here you go. Always glad to help you understand the Constitution of the United States of America.

      Article. II.
      Section. 1.
The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

As always you either try to change the subject or simply do not or can not read.

Regardless of what articles you can come up with it doesn't argue the fact that some states require voter ID/or not and non-verified mail in ballots. I don't see a thing on that "article" that applies to that. Next you'll look up an "article" that tells all of us how old the president must be. Real informative.

I quoted you Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution of the United States of America. Not something from CNN.com. That's twice now you've been clueless about what is in that document. I question if you are truly a US citizen, and if so whether you have any business voting.

Pointing out that the states run their own elections. He was dismissive of the Constitution, which I take exception to.

                  Help me out, please....

How much simpler does it need to be? In the Federal System, the States run their own elections.

I get that he doesn't like how some states vote, would like to see laws passed that turn things in the direction he wants,

but that's not the system we have is it.

you are hung up on the EC,, , Smoke was not talking about the EC,
he was talking about the rules that we citizens have to abide by to vote,
                    they vary by State,

and yes, that is the system we have,

not sure why you are having trouble seeing that,
Does he want to expand voting or restrict it? A fair guess would be that his primary concern is that some states are too permissive in their voting procedures, and that this permissiveness favors the other party. So virtue-signalling "fraud prevention" he'd like to see things restricted.

So my guess is his Federal standard isn't about expanding polling access but rather "safeguarding" it. Just a guess though, would have to see what he says.

The VRA was about setting minimum standards for poll access, because some states were gaming it too much. (There are web sites showing how it was.)

So that act set a floor of sorts, how hard states can make it for people to exercise their right to vote.

Because after all, it is a right. Subject to state regulation, but nonetheless a right.

To wrap it up, a Federal law with the net effect of reducing both State and individual rights is something that any good Conservative should reject out of hand.

A well-tied noose is a thing of beauty--especially around the right necks.

More low life despicable bull sh!t.

The Constitution clearly states that State Legislators make the rules for elections in their States. Governors, and unelected changed that. Mail in ballots, extended counting hours, etc were all mandated by people illegally acting unconstitutionally.

In Wisconsin, the Republican legislature set up a commission to administer elections. They had no quarrels with how that commission did things until 2020, when you-know-who came up short and did what he told us in advance he would do--become the Mother of All Sore Losers.
