Sure, cold war never ended . Putin and his KGB has never stopped in their efforts to create havoc in the United States as they've never viewed us as an ally .

Did Putin want Trump to be our President ? Yes he did, because he viewed the man as the most harmful to the United States .

We may have claimed an end to the Cold War with the forcing of the tear down of the Berlin Wall..... but Russia never did .

Russia is still intelligent enough to view us as an adversary ... while we want to be their 'friends'

On a more "personal" note I remember when we couldn't believe the atrocities Muslims performed on Russian school children in a terrorist attack .

And I also remember what I saw Russians do to Muslim children on the Afghan/Paki border on the late 80's . Russia has no interest in the best, interests of the United States ... or the world in general

I became a member in 76 which was when I bought a centennial model Mini 14
and a Mossberg pump.
Now that I no longer shoot I gave up the magazine and pay just $10 a year.

No, it was die-hard Russia-haters like McCain & other Dems who kept the Cold War going. For a few yrs before Putin stepped in to restore order, the Russian gov't, shaky as it was, tried to establish better relations, but how could that happen when the Russia-haters were exploiting Russia's weakness to bring every country in Europe into NATO! NATO the "self-defense" org that attacked without provocation Russia's traditional ally Serbia!
