They're going to hound Trump for the next four years ...

in order to both make him pay for attacking their 'deep state'
corruption, and to ensure he won't be able to make a comeback
in 24. The vindictiveness of these people knows no bounds, so
what can he do ? He can pardon his family and others who'll be
in the deep state crosshairs, but, my not being a student of the
Constitution I've no idea whether or not he can pardon himself,
although I suspect not. He could resign and get Pence to do the
honor, but I think that's very doubtful. So what's left to him
besides endless prosecution and a mountain of legal bills ?

He should have made a deal with his enemies. Wonder why he didn't try that. Oh yeah the base would have erupted.

He was doomed from the get-go.

              You're reading it wrong.

Trump is purely transactional. Give something, get something, or vice versa.

But his hands were tied as far as deals with the Democrats, because the base wouldn't allow it. You wouldn't allow it.

That was his "Devil's Bargain" to get the Presidency--your enemies would become his, and they would multiply.

I posted here in Season 1, that Trump would never do anything that would kill the buzz at the rallies. And I was right.

The left wing liberals are livid at loosing control of the SCOTUS ... not just b/c Trump made two appointments they couldn't stand but b/c the unscheduled death of their left-wing liberal icon who died a bit to early ... so President Trump was able to nominate a staunch constitutional conservative to the SC ... and of course he was also able to nominate a whole slew of conservative jurists to the federal judiciary. Apparently the liberals thought that they were the only ones who could possibly use the court system as a political weapon. Fine. Now they will have to get along for probably a generation w/o being able to use the SC as their trump card in seeking to advance their left wing liberal social agenda. Trump trumped them on that score. Cool. Very cool indeed. Sincerely. bruce.

Possibly a note of bitterness in your post Bruce, that this vaunted revamped judiciary tossed Trump out on his ear? There's a lot for liberals to like in the Constitution, once one moves past the handful of marquee issues.

Bruce by how "ours" are protesting you are right on the money. What is going to be enjoyable in due time are "their" laws and edicts struck down as unconstitutional therefore void!

Don't forget that Supreme Court Justices can be seduced
by the liberal social scene just as easily as anyone else.

DT I believe it suited Trump's purposes to have a buttload of enemies while President, because the power of the office was both sword and shield. You're right though, if thinking that he may need to come to terms with some of his foes, post Jan. 20.
