What could be worse than being locked in the same (virtual) cell with your worst enemies? Except that in a real cell, the opportunity for direct revenge would exist.

        maybe Vern will,

        or not,

I have not yet, but to be honest and transparent, am building a case to get some evicted,

almost banned one a couple nights ago,,but just infracted instead,

gotta remember, while the owner (Pat/Sysad) can say if she wants someone gone or not, and do it herself,

I'm running under the umbrella of follow the rules or get gone,

so if someone makes you or anyone mad, or annoyed or whatever, then ignore them or reply in kind,

as long as they follow the rules I see no reason to ban,, regardless of what I may personally think,,

after Sysad's comments recently that I put in the sticky, things are going to tighten up a bit in the new year

I just don't feel that kind of animosity. I mean, you know the counter-argument is coming and it gets to be a little Chinese water torture like, but it's the flies that keep the cows from just standing still in the field(it's a good thing for the cows). Otherwise it's just: I agree, me too, your absolutely right.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

There will always be that. We all have opinions and they will differ some, even those of us who basically agree with each other.

What we are speaking of is the constant negative comments against EVERYTHING in an effort to diminish this forum. Especially comments made against our gun rights---what this whole forum is about.

Those that support democrats want this forum to disappear along with our freedoms and rights. They have no place here.

Think of those two MFs about to take control in DC, our worst fears realized, for most of us. (One of them, the grinning jackass with the foreign name, is BEYOND our worst fears--too radical even for most Dems when she tried for the top job, but now look where she is!)

Now think of those right here among us who did their part to make that happen! A stab in the back, or what?

Not that anyone here give 2 squirts of piss for what I think but I would agree with you 100%, it might just grow some here if the "real" troublemakers were kicked to the curb. I don't know if it's possible to save this once good place "I am not optimistic" about it. I have for some time been gone to this forum and others suffering from the same sickness and been mostly a "no log in" read only. Again not that anyone here cares that the "sack dragger" is gone. You all sort this out to your satisfaction I have no intention in saying anything about how, what or who and will now GO AWAY again.

Let's see if we can all be gentlemen. Real gentlemen can disagree without rancor. Let's try that.

That's what I'm talking about and mostly why so many have left this forum.

So Vern, what is your new job ? Is it different from Lyman's ?
If it's checking every post for naughty words then I'll send you some energy bars..

Real gentlemen can disagree without rancor if the issue is something on the order of "what's the best battle rifle" or another matter of no vital concern--not when the issue is your freedom & quality of life. Think about this: if Dems steal the two Ga senate seats, we are SUNK! And unlike the idiot Repubs who squandered their majority with infighting & sloth, the Dems will be united in pushing through a radical agenda at top speed with NO concessions whatever. And 3 or 4 here will be cheering them on!

And how would rancor make a difference in that case?

I am reminded of old Captain Buster Skelton -- he was with Merrill's Marauders in WWII, operating behind Japanese lines. He used to say, "Gentlemen, never hate your enemy."

So is that the way you thought about the VC who slaughtered thousands of civilians during Tet? And I have to wonder how many survivors of the Bataan Death March, the Wake Island massacre, other Jap atrocities, would agree with Capt. Skelton.

I regard people who commit crimes as criminals -- who should be dealt with by the justice system.
