    Three Weeks From Today....

...Conservative media and voters will find it safe to criticize the Federal Government again, most obviously for the inept rollout of the vaccine. Millions of doses in freezers without plans to get them into arms accomplishes what exactly? Grover Norquist must be looking on with great pride at a life's work come to fruition.

But we do have at least two successful vaccines in record time.

The mRNA vaccine guys have been waiting for their big break and this might be it. The tried-and-true adenovirus-based vaccine method is on tap for 2021, also working quickly. But inexplicable that the people coordinating these drugs for the country could not think the process all the way through. Imagine if Uncle Sam decided that getting munitions, fuel, food to the docks in France was good enough in 1944, that the troops fighting inland had to figure the rest out for themselves. (So, no "Red Ball Express".)

Some of this can get hung on Congress, but clearly no one in the White House grasped the last-mile logistics of this situation. It's as though the vaccine was just a bragging point, not an actual thing.

You figure Trump should driven a delivery truck ?
Actually, It might have gone more smoothly had he done that, but there
was voter fraud to investigate and a round or two of golf.
All work and no play etc

The golf game is probably more criminal. He was also mad about wallpaper or something.

Well here is my experience in Texas today with the roll out. The Governor says the Cat 1b should start getting the vaccine now. I finally found a state web site that showed where to get the vaccine after not being able to get info from my primary care doctor. Turned out that was my fault but they told to get it from public health today. So I made a list of the places that are supposed to start giving the shot. Two are Memorial Herman hospitals, one a Houston HCA Hospital, another a Kelsey Siebold Complex and another a PA office. The Memorial Herman locations are only giving shots to those who primary care doctors are associated with their system, my doctor is not. The Houston HCA Hospital which I've been a patient said call back next week, the Kelsey Siebold complex hasn't received the vaccine yet and the PA's office had a 100 doese and said I should call the office to be put on a list. The number I called which was listed for the office was actually a cell phone of one of the PA's so they screwed that up. So far I'd say there is needed improvement if we want this program to work.

Keeping it at 80 below hampers it some. So "poof" everyone isn't instantly immunized. When's the last time we did this? Ah, never? But I get the complaint some what. Can you say Pearl Harbour? 9-11? If I'da been there.... Monday morning quarterbacking. Damn Republicans. Damn Democrats. The scientists: What a Republican? What's a Democrat?

In three weeks + 1year Trump will still be blamed for the inability of the SD to deliver on their many promises to those who are going to turn on them. "Happy Day's are Here Again!"

Boggs I share your understated desire that the mistakes of the Trump years can be washed away in far less than 1 year. Probably it won't be that simple.

Israel has already vaccinated 5% of its population. Small county, sure, but likely not the last to pass us up. People in this country are told that anything organized = socialism and enough believe it so here we are.

There's planning to fail, and failing to plan. And then a whole 'nother level, which is planning to fail to plan. That's the hole we start digging out of on January 20.

SD? Yeah South Dakota didn't help with their poor executive leadership.

having a governor say he was going to refuse anything sent to him by the Trump admin is not helping either,

                              speaking of which

                              https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...e-elderly.html

The rollout of the coronavirus vaccine in New York as explained by the governor Andrew Cuomo has been criticized as a 'woke-left, centralized approach' that is dangerous to the American people.

The comment was made by the publisher of a politically conservative online magazine, The Federalist's Ben Domenech, who is unhappy that drug addicts will be prioritzed over the elderly.

Currently, after those in urgent care along with doctors and nurses administering the COVID-19 vaccines, shots are to be given to the residents of drug rehabilitation centers, ahead of the state's elderly population.

Gov. Cuomo has faced fierce criticism after more than 6,600 nursing home residents in New York died from coronavirus during the height of the pandemic. The true number of deaths could be anywhere up to 11,000, according to an AP analysis, as health officials only counted residents who died on site and not later in hospitals or other facilities.
