Brian Kemp / Brad Raffensperger 2024

Brian Kemp / Brad Raffensperger 2024

Finally .... a couple of American politicians willing to stand up and face the consequences for telling the truth .

Even under hardcore intimidation and threats these two men stood up to say what was the truth , regardless of the consequences to themselves or anger from the Petulant Dictator.

When I was a kid I used to watch Superman,,,,, " Truth, Justice, and the American Way " were the words spoken on each and every show.

Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensperger are truly American supermen and I'd vote for them to be Pres and Vice in 2024

Donald Trump is a Benedict Arnold to the United States and the door can't hit him on the ass quick enough .

Thank you Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensberger .... for being what America is supposed to be all about .

Were Raffensburger to do as Trump asked, fudge the Georgia election counts and re-file paperwork on it, he would be breaking Georgia law. As would Kemp if he signed off on it. To solicit illegal acts from government officials is itself a crime. So Trump and everyone else on the WH side of that call are now in hock to Georgia and/or Federal criminal statutes. If and lawyers were part of that they can be looking at trouble with the bar for participating in an illegal solicitation.

The thing to remember going forward is that in Burdick v. United States, 236 U.S. 79 (1915) , the court held that to accept a pardon is to admit guilt in the matter.

So by their pardons shall ye know them.

I bet the speed with which that audio leaked made White House heads spin.

The amazing thing is, it wasn't very long ago in Georgia where a request like this, if rendered in a timely manner, would be easily accommodated. Remember, Brian Kemp ran his own election for Governor as Secretary of State. So while I share Sandpebble's admiration that Kemp appears to be playing this one straight, I feel a lot better about Raffensberger between the two of them.

That audio was condemning by all standards.

      Good riddance.

      Listen and weep:
