....or more people for Blackhawk2 to hate.
I saw today that a newly elected Georgia State Representative, Bee Nguyen (D,) wore an Ao Dai (you vietnam Vets know what that is) to her swearing in as a reaction to Vietnamese flags (flags of the old RVN) carried by some people at the Trump rally/riot last Wednesday.
I did some checking and it seems that Vietnamese Americans voted heavily for Donald Trump. In fact, one of the few pre election polls of Americans of Vietnamese origin showed them favoring Donald Trump over Joe Biden 48% to 36%. they were the most Republican Asian constituency but the same polling showed Republicans gaining ground with every other major Asian ethnic group as well. I know in Texas the Republican outreach to Asians has been strong for at least the last few years. Before the last Midterm Election I saw a big Republican voter registration booth outside the Hong Kong Market in the heart of a very large thriving Asian community on the west side of Houston.
Asians are another of the hard working socially conservative voting blocs that should be natural Republican voters if the "Rs" just keep up the outreach.
By the way, the press made what I consider to be a mildly patronizing comment about Ms. Nguyen's attire. They referred to the Ao Dai as a "costume." It is not a costume, especially at the function to which she wore it. The Ao Dai is traditional Vietnamese women's attire for formal (including "cocktail",) or business wear.
