Here's a thought:

There's a pretty good chance that in 6 months, everyone still alive in the country is going to have some immunity to Covid. Either by getting the disease and surviving or receiving an effective vaccine. For older people, Covid is tough to beat, and a painful death.

So...if a President comes along preaching a cornball notion of unity but also stating an intention to move Heaven and Earth to get vaccines in arms before the virus takes people, then maybe the smart move is to play along, at least until you get the vaccine. Just saying.

The obvious flaw of Trump's EO grandstanding strategy was that the next guy in the office might also have a pen. Nobody pretended otherwise and here we are. One difference is that Biden has no time for TV, unlike the previous occupant, which could mean more time for signing EOs.
