Ivanka Trump is likely to run for the Senate

I read this in a recent edition of the Jerusalem Post. Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner just bought a 30 million dollar mansion in Florida. This would obviously be a first step toward running for President.

Ivanka would be an imposing candidate. She is 6 feet tall and there is nobody in this country or any country with her combination of brains and beauty. Can you just picture Kamalah Harris trying to debate her? This would really be Beauty versus the Beast.

Against who?? Rubio is pretty young and Scott is in his first term. To run anytime soon she'd have to "primary" a sitting Senator.

It seems to me that if she was going to run for the Senate she'd have a better opportunity running in a state where there is a vulnerable Democrat's seat that is opening up soon (Georgia) or a state with an older Republican (Texas?)

I'm suggesting Florida might vote her in. Other candidates would resent it if they've cultivated a lifetime of service to be denied the chance to serve in a representative capacity.

Your point is well taken, former Daughter of State doesn't really do much for experience if you are considered part of the toxicity that prevailed. It will be interesting to see what happens to New York 2.0.

Sure, she beat an incumbent. She didn't just try, she actually won, not sure anyone remembers the loser in that election. I think the Democrats were surprised. Same thing happened to Eric Cantor.

Florida may elect Trump's daughter, to the chagrin of someone more qualified to represent Florida. The voter's will decide, unless Texas is still dropping lawsuits to protest it.
