There is a battle between groups of elites, no doubt about it. That does not mean that Biden somehow isn't in control of his operation. One thing that people will have to get used to is a different management style. Trump was a mom-and-pop-business guy. Trump did deals but the size of the company never was going to expand beyond what he and his kids thought they could manage. And in his time as President Trump was trying to manage the Federal Government down towards the size of Trump Inc. He mostly failed but what he did do was empty out the ranks of senior management. Biden is going to try to replenish those ranks with people he thinks can do the job. It's a safe bet that Biden means to FDR-1933 this Covid problem if he can. And if he is successful, there is reason to expect the voters may reward his party. GOP students of history understand the risks.

The question is...is the country in more of a 1933 mood or a 1981 mood? Something else entirely? We will all find out together.
