I just want to be clear on my posts and thoughts on this! I have nothing against people who want to change to what ever they want. My only concern is why does the government with my tax dollars have to pay for it!.. I have to pay for any selective/not required operation costs with my insurance that I also have to pay additional to have over the required Govt SS one...!

A "Housewife" is a pocket sized sewing kit with extra buttons, needles and thread and a small pair of scissors -- soldiers have had them for at least 60 years.

A "Matilda" by the way, is an overcoat. Soldiers used to roll up everything in their overcoats and sling the roll over their shoulder. At night, they would unpack and sleep in the overcoat. They joked the overcoat was their wife, and called her Matilda. If you know that, you can better understand the song, "Waltzing Matilda."

Agree. Recruits entering into military service should not be imposing that level of financial burden on the military and VA medical system.
