Zero green house emissions is the goal. Ten years is an optimistic goal. More like thirty yrs. The cost? 50-100 Trillion. None of this is firm.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

And what will we get in return for that 50-100 trillion, other than a lot more left wing billionaires?

So oil billionaires don't like it? Now we understand.

Not about the billionaires. It's about the people that have to work for a living that has seen the price of gas increase by 20% in less than a month. Still the same amount of petroleum, but the brain dead leader causing fear in the market. What dumb thing will he do next.

I think his plan worked -- the Global Warming <tm> was knee deep this morning. I can't get up the mountain to get to town (and won't be able to for a week.) My youngest daughter is stuck in her house in Little Rock.

Oil prices are pegged to the value of the dollar, and Airline contracts that go out 6 months have the largest impact on prices.

No it's what major Tom says that Since the day Comrade Biden fired the oil pipeline workers, the price of a gallon of gas has steadily risen!

                    Less demand doesn't raise prices.

Until God decides to start zorching people for believing demonstrably false things, it will be like pushing rocks uphill to convince some otherwise.

Biden became President to see to the needs of some unnamed owner of a trucking firm. Sure, it makes complete sense when put that way.

I love it!! "Less demand doesn't raise prices."

Well, what DOES raise prices -- because prices are surely going up?

Less production, namely OPEC. Fuel demand dropped in 2020, it's gone up steadily with the vaccine introduction.

The major producers are cutting output. US stockpiles are also the lowest they've been in a year.

Vern, this is pretty easy to figure out. The world is moving again, as we attempt to address the virus. Are your oil royalties dependent on market forces or the president? Could it just be the 2020 losses in the oil industry are driving a squeeze of the economy for more revenue?

Along with reduced supply, increased transportation costs and so on -- which is why we need the Keystone pipeline.
