Inside the cold war era soviet 'Foxtrot' submarine ...

Kinda cramped even with much having been removed.
Lots of knobs, handles and levers to keep a Sailor busy.
Certainly not as spacious as American WW2 subs which had
a mess deck, cantine, movie theater, a ward room, cabins
and showers. Cary Grant, John Wayne and Ward Bond
won the war in those submarines.

hope that is sarcasm,, re the US stuff,

friend was a Nuke Sub guy in the 80's, he said it was packed, (USS Casimir Pulaski)

I did a walk thru of the one at Patriots Point in Charleston SC (and saw the Hunley as well as the crew's funeral)

the one at PP was a 50's vintage IIRC,,and not much room on it

Worked with a guy who was on subs during WW2.
He was around 5ft five inches tall.
Went aboard WW2 sub in San Francisco Maritime Museum.
USS Pampanito many years ago. Maybe she's still there ?

Yeah, she's still there. Here she is:

In my chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart we had (he's since passed away) a WWII submariner who was sunk on his second war patrol. Fished out of the water by the Japanese, he was a POW in Burma, then sent to Japan on a ship that had no Geneva Convention markings, and was sunk by US aircraft. His stories would curl your hair.

I've been in a bunch of Gato Class boats and they seem spacious compared to this boat.

              B-427 Scorpion. foxtrot diesel sub

this was in Long Beach, between shore and the SS Queen Mary. i believe its closed now (as a museum) due to lack of maintenance and water intrusion/damage.
