By the time the Truth comes out, people have lost interest ...

A typical democrat ploy which always works in their favor.
At the time of an incident, they lie about it by blaming Republicans.
A few weeks later when even the media can no longer hide the truth,
the real story comes out - but by then it's old news and no longer of
interest to anybody. So they get away with it Scott free.

It's like they were touting the rally for weeks or something.

I still find it funny that several cities burn, others have protests, and all is good,

but a band of idjits, including the press, waltz , almost literally, into the Capitol, and it is suddenly the second coming,

        Armageddon would have less drama

It's all sad, but the Q-Berts are brainwashed.

The Q-berts stick out because they're happening in real time. It was not long ago when this stuff appeared out of nowhere on the internet and took them in before our eyes. By contrast if someone wants to say that the "1619 Project" is brainwashing the young, they have to work around the historical reality that for over two centuries blacks in this land were scarcely allowed to accumulate the wealth of their own labors.

Brainwashing, which is getting someone to buy into a false narrative, is more easily achieved, the fewer facts there are to get in the way. The whole Q thing is about a hidden agenda supposedly revealed.

Trouble is, once people buy into the false narrative, it's very hard to get them off of it, and the more facts that you put in front of them, the more they say it explains how deeply hidden the truth is.

So a vicious cycle thing, that we have seen happen before our eyes in the case of Q-Anon.

By contrast, the 1619 project is more of a historical reinterpretation, but when it becomes part of a school curriculum, it feeds the narrative that "our kids are being brainwashed". The thing is, reinterpretation is what historians do.

                    thank you for the clarification,

there comes a point in time tho, when 'reinterpretation' can be construed as 'indoctrination''

if the point of 1619 is what you say, then it just reinforces the narrative of the failure of our education system, and how the changes in the curriculum has not worked,

why do I say that??? cause what you mentioned was taught when I was in grade school, (where slaves came from, who ran the ships, who benefited, how they were treated, , 3\5ths etc etc, )

and it also covered most of the post war years and who was allowed to do anything, (vote, own land etc) reconstruction , jim crow etc etc,

we even learned about stuff like John Brown, (who btw, stayed a night or 2 at a farm in central VA owned by my kin folk, and it still in the family)

I agree about indoctrination....it is a thing and it is popping up out there.

                      "All guns are bad".... indoctrination.

Pushback is required, and it goes best in the long term IMO with real facts, both good and bad, instead of indoctrination from the opposite side.
