Let's say $150 a year to make calculations easy. Let's assume a fair interest rate of 6% per annum. Applying the Rule of 72, the money would double every 12 years.

So at the end of the first 12 years (let's say 1877) the principle would amount to $1800, and the profit $900 in addition, for a total of $2700.

If we run that out, it amounts to $14,744,700.00 this year.

sadly, you are correct, and there are a lot of light skinned folks (read that how you like, I am 1% or less African by Ancestry DNA) that will stand in line to get a handout,

I'm afraid it is the plan. I am also afraid the consequences of pulling the trigger on anything like reparations. Reparat;ions will have consequences, and I mean bad consequences, far beyond anything the people pumping this Idea can imagine.

I find it interesting how they are getting better at the localities, (supposedly, not sure of the accuracy or margin of error)
