He was once the parties darling and possible presidential contender. The top leaders decided to take him out. Nothing personal, just business.

Get over Trump, start worrying about what comrade Joe is destroying.

The Cuomo - Trump similarity has been noted for some time now.

Everybody sees it. And now, with bad stuff with women coming out, it's another connection.

Why the comparison? Because at least the libs are somewhat, if imperfectly, consistent about this sort of thing. They gave Trump a bad time for this behavior and his base defended him. They give Cuomo a bad time for it, and the Trump base says "he has it coming".

One's tolerance or intolerance for this kind of behavior shouldn't depend on whether or not the politician in question is someone's guy or not, should it?

                  Now maybe.

For years nothing St. Andrew (Cuomo) did was wrong, nothing Trump did was ever right. Cuomo is close to attaining, if he isn't there already, full Trump status as political whipping boy but it took an incredible amount of monumental stupidity, political incompetence and arrogance to make enough enemies to get "Sonny" there.

                    apples, oranges,

trumps base is not involved here,

the left has been trying to cancel just about any one , to an extent, unless they are still useful to the left,

cuomo earned this on his own, his one party, which normally walks in unison , needs to go after him like they do everyone else,

anything less would be hypocritical, no?

New York blowhard with dictator tendencies who covers his own mistakes by throwing subordinates under the bus, and who it turns out is a serial offender when it comes to taking liberties with women. Like they were twins separated at birth when you put it that way, yes?

I never saw the attraction to Cuomo, to be honest, just as I never saw the appeal to Trump. Those kinds of guys just don't work for me.

Yes it would be hypocritical for his party to defend him, to decide to blame Republicans for example.

But insofar as Trump's base is represented here, condemning Cuomo, the same folks who defended Trump when he was in a similar pot of soup, that sure looks to be situational ethics. Even now there is a thread going that focuses on how unfair it is that Trump is attacked, with no recognition whatsoever that getting attacked is something Trump invites, because the middle of a fight is his natural environment.

My own view (not that you asked) -->

Let the voters decide. On Trump, and on Cuomo. These calls for resignation are stupid and silly. If libs are really believers in democracy, then let the voters decide. Note that is not inconsistent with understanding why Pelosi impeached Trump the first time. She had to do that to protect her candidates, to put Trump's henchmen through the wringer so they were less inclined to try more stuff as the election proceeded. Pelosi read the chessboard correctly and acted correctly, and in the end, the voters did decide.

And you only say Trump is as such, when probably many other politicians are like same!
