Your comparison to Colombia having a higher homicide rate leaves out one interesting fact ... deaths of innocents . We need not even touch the fact that nowhere else on earth have more children died at school

Not nice. It's not the point. It's a metaphor for anger over a horrific occurrence- 'I could chew nails'.
I don't blame guns. I blame gun magazines. I blame t.v. I blame ridiculous hollywood movies. I blame parents who don't send out an alert when their kid is nuts.
Do we ban movies? Nope. Most of us can handle a little escapism. But not everyone can. There's a lot of nuts out there, it's a wonder it doesn't happen more often. I think about my commutes. How is it possible for all these people to be able to drive so cautiously that a million of us can get to work day after day and not get in a wreck. Most of us are pretty sane.
